This one is another I see all the time so I thought it might be quick so I went for it. I am trying to squeeze in 2 tutorials today to make up for the one I missed. So I went with one that I thought looked easy. I found it at www.photoshopstar so go a head and head over and see if it’s your cup of tea.

Here is their finished product, pretty simple looking but it still has something.

I took it and tried to make it my own a little, with the grunge on the bottom. The steps did not work out for me exactly the way I expected, the gradient that I put over the text did not end up like the tutorials. I followed it exactly and then tweeked it around a little to see if I could get it but I couldn’t. I could sit around and really go at it and I have no doubt that I would figure it out, but I’m not going to do that. I am doing these tutorials to learn something not to perfect every one so it looks just like the original. So the tutorial was kind of difficult to follow in my opinion not just because of the gradient but there were some other steps that I didn’tget. This tutorial did have a PSD you could download though so maybe the secret is in there.
