Arlington County Fair
Saturday, August 29th, 2009Here in Arlington we recently had our annual Arlington County Fair. I have been going to the County Fair for years and here is a look at what I saw when I was there this year.
.

Here is a look at the oldschool carnival style booths they have which sell everything from Philly Cheese steaks to sausages to popcorn.

A nice look at all the prizes you can get.

More treats ice cream and slushies!

Now that’s good news, a prize every time.

I am so glad I caught this one! I think he is to big for the swings though.

There are a lot of great rides for the kids that look all fancy and fun.

Here is a look at the inside of the fair, the photography exhibit.

Arlington is Awesome great shirt.

Art for all the ages.

Harry Potter is awesome!

This was just down the wall from Harry Potter?

This was just down the wall from the previous picture which makes me wonder who is organizing the wall here? They might want to separate the pictures a little better next time.

Some home grown produce and some home made food.

There are a lot of crafts there as well, a little world in an egg.

An example of the Power of Arlington, I think that was the theme of the fair a lot of the photos, crafts and even some t-shirts had the Power of Arlington on them.

There were also some strange booths there, this whole booth was about this worm kind of strange. It was all about how you need to burn these bad boys if they appear in your trees.

The way things were placed was a little wierd, this was right next to the worm thing, very appetizing.

They have a little bit of everything, especially purses.

You can’t go far without running into a Hokie fan.

I had some company and they were very willing to be my models for a nice shot here.

This was nice! A little look at prison shanks, wow!

You might wonder why there were bees there, this guy was selling fresh honey there you go I gave it away.

A little bit of the good old fair food, funnel cake and blooming onions.

Everything a fair needs including the good old petting farm.

Some of the good old rides.

I always love going to the fair and having some food and checking everything out, I never really go on any of the rides though. I love roller coasters but i never go on any of the rides at the fair, maybe I feel it’s a little more for the younger kids to enjoy.
