I found this one and thought there was some potential, I’m doing my searches by images and this one looked cool. I found this tutorial at ooglewindowblinds.com I probably would not have clicked on this link if I was doing a regular web search, look at the name it’s so random!

This is what the tutorial had as their final image, a cool effect that looks pretty fun.

This is the one I came up with I used a picture I took of a flower a while back. Pretty easy tutorial, it was a little off when it came to the specifics of the steps. I had to play around a little with it but that only took a couple of minutes. It kind of looks like a ball of energy is being released from the flower or maybe even pollen that glows. I changed it up a little, I used a different pattern for the background and added an inner shadow to the flower. When you have time to work on these tutorials you can play around and tweak the effects more and more.

This one seemed pretty cool mainly because I am really trying to learn more text effects. I think a lot of them would be good to consider when creating logos, not all of them but some. So I went to webtoolkit4.me and found this one, I actually did a google search for tutorials having to do with text and found this one. I have never been to this site before I have to check out what other goodies they have!

Here is the look chromed out with a little color in there. Now every one who has messed around with Photoshop has probably come across the Plastic Wrap filter which gives a some what similar effect. But this was totally done in Layer Styles which is great for learning about Layer Styles.

Here is my version, I decided to add a reflection, some strokes of light and some bling. I made the reflection in 2 seconds you can check out how HERE, I have been doing that one for a while so it gets easier and faster every time. Actually my friend ryan showed me that one, you can check out his cool graphic design over at mean-e.com. The strokes of light are from a paintbrush set I found on the internet a while back, just do a google search and you will find them or something cooler. I just added all that stuff to change it up a little, you have to make these tutorials yours in some way. Have fun with them and experiment with the possibilities that’s what I did.
